Setting Grids

You can change attributes of horizontal/vertical, major/minor grids in the "Plot Area/Grids" dialog box. Major and minor grids are drawn at the positions of major and minor axis ticks, respectively. By adding an extra major tick, you can add an extra major grid line corresponding to it.

In this example, a horizontal dotted grid line is drawn at the level of the control maximum.

1. In the [Major Tick Marks] tab of the Y axis [Set] dialog box, select the "Single" option.

2. Click the "Add" button and set [Position] = "9.85".

3. Uncheck "In" for [Tick Direction] and click OK.

Open the [Graph]-[Plot Area/Grids] menu (or click button ).

4. In the [Major Grids] tab, check the "Show Y (Horizontal) Major Grids".

5. Select "All" and set the line [Type] = "No Line".

6. Select "Single" and # = "12" and [Type] = "Solid/Dashed" and [Style] = "Dot" and click OK
